As A Narcissist, How Do I Live Life Knowing I Will Never Be Loved and That Because Of It I Am What I Am?
If you are a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder I think you phrased the question wrong.
It isn't that you will never be loved. YOU can not love.
Perhaps you know this and are saying to me, ‘because I am unable to love, no one will ever love me back in return.’
I have read of so many who actually did truly love a narcissist. But when you realize what you are up against, that you can continue loving this person all the while you are disappearing, survival of the fittest basically takes over. It is a live or die situation.
If you want real love, you need to learn what real love is. If you truly suffer with narcissistic personality disorder and you want love, you need to seek help. You need to be willing to look at things in a way you never thought you could. You need to dig down deep. You need to face things that possibly shaped you to become this person in the first place. You need to be honest. More honest than you ever thought you could ever be…
There are no known medications for this disorder. Some have been tried, mostly antidepressants and mood stabilizers, but even therapy is rare for a pwNPD because they do not see a problem.
If this is plaguing you and you want love you have to know what love really is. You have to be able to give it back in return. If you never learn this beautiful thing you will have to let your desire go. It may not seem fair, but you get what you give.
Thank you for the question. Be well.
