I understand...believe me. Though I've been blessed with some wonderful friends, when I started to get myself back together and come back to life (so to speak) some people were not exactly happy with the new me. I still remained kind. My values didn't change, nor did my sense of humor, but I guess you could say I wasn't quite as easy as I once was. And once you established boundaries, you'll notice the ones who either try to cross them or get upset at the very idea that we have our own set of rules for ourselves...how dare we, right? So, you could say my circle got a lot smaller, but new, amazing people came along and I don't think I would have ever met them had I not changed some things about myself. There really are good people out there in this world of ours. They're not always easy to find, but I promise you...they're out there! And when you are ready (or perhaps you already are....) you'll be amazed how these people just kind of start appearing in our lives! I wish you everything good in this world.
