Why Are People Wired with Distrust?

I do not believe that all humans are wired with distrust. I'm not.

Some may find this to be dangerous, others may find it endearing. I have just always been this way.

That is not to say that I am not cautious or that I am stupid. I have learned some valuable lessons….believe me! But I always give people the benefit of the doubt and I always give people a chance.

Some people have been terribly hurt, so I can understand why they might be ‘wired with distrust’ and I went through my own hell for a time, but I refused to let the person who hurt me take away the very essence of who I was, or at least take away a part of me…I simply wouldn't allow it.

I think as we grow we come to find there are a rare few we can trust with just about anything. These people are not exactly easy to find, so when you do I suggest to never let them go.

I have always loved Shakespeare and there is one quote that always sticks out in my mind. I can not come up with anything better….
